Out-of-school settings: guidance for providers
Safer recruitment
The Early Years team have compiled a Safer Recruitment Guidance for the Wraparound Sector (PDF, 1899.64 KB) that can be used as part of your Safer Recruitment process. Our aim is to support you with making safe recruitment decisions and ensuring you have the relevant documentation and checks in place.
Legally, anyone undertaking a role that involves contact with, or responsibility for, children or other vulnerable adults should be taken through a safer recruitment process.
Safer practice in recruitment means thinking about and including issues relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at every stage of the process. It starts with planning the recruitment and ensuring that the advertisement makes clear the club’s commitment to safeguarding children.
