Food waste
Too many food scraps still end up in the rubbish bin because people think food waste recycling is messy or inconvenient.
We want to change that. That’s why we are trialling a new and improved kitchen caddy designed to make food waste recycling easier, cleaner and more convenient.
Every banana skin, tea bag and leftover meal that is recycled helps protect the environment and is turned into electricity to power your home.
We are trialling a new caddy to help us turn more food waste into a valuable resource instead of throwing it away.
The benefits
- Cleaner design
- Smooth interior for quick, hygienic cleaning
- Secure, easy-open lid to lock in odours
- Caddy liner holder to stop liner from falling into the caddy
- Dishwasher safe
- Integrated carry handle for easy emptying
- Door or wall hook included

Not just a better caddy
The new caddy is not just a better caddy – it is also made from plastic recycled by Enfield residents. The whole process is completed in England.
- You recycle your plastic in your recycling bin
- We collect your recycling bin and take it to a sorting centre in Enfield
- Plastics are separated from other recyclables, which are then sent to specialist recycling facilities
- Plastics are recycled into plastic pellets
- Plastic pellets are used to make the new caddy
Keeping all recycling and manufacturing in UK, saves 79% of carbon emissions.
How to use your caddy
- If you are part of the trial area we will automatically deliver your new food waste kitchen caddy and instruction leaflet
