Halls on estates
We manage several buildings across Enfield that can be hired out for private events, parties and community activities. These include community halls on housing estates, youth centres and 3 community centres.
Our aim is to make these community spaces welcoming places for creativity, support, advice, education and leisure. We want them to bring local people together and help build stronger neighbourhoods.
You can find your nearest community space by using the interactive map below.
Facilities and closing times
All our halls have:
- full kitchen facilities
- a disabled toilet
- tables and chairs
You must include set-up and cleaning times within your booking hours.
We do not provide:
- cleaning equipment
- catering services
- projectors or speakers
Only 2 halls can accommodate an indoor bouncy castle – Memorial Hall and Kempe Hall. Some halls have the facility for a bouncy castle outside. Other halls can accommodate a soft play area or small indoor bouncy castles, which we can consider on application.
You can bring alcohol to your event, as long as you do not charge for it.
All halls must close by 11pm, as they are in residential areas.
Booking a hall
Within 5 working days of booking a hall you must provide:
- a completed booking form with your full details and a handwritten signature
- proof of identity (photo ID and proof of address dated within the last 3 months)
If you do not provide this information, your booking will not be confirmed.
As the hirer of the hall, you are covered by our public liability insurance. If you use a third-party provider at your event, such as a bouncy castle company, soft play provider or DJ, we would need to see a copy of their company’s public liability insurance.
If the hall is available on your requested date, we will make a provisional booking and email you the paperwork to complete and return. Once we receive the paperwork, we will set you up on our system and issue an invoice for immediate full payment.
Please note - you will also need to pay a refundable deposit. The amount depends on the times of hire. The deposit will be refunded after the event, if the hall is left clean, tidy and vacated on time. If we are not satisfied with the state of the hall at closing, your deposit will not be refunded.
Activities and events not permitted
We will not accept bookings for events from organisations of a political or extreme ideological nature for the purpose of pursuing that agenda.
You can view our community spaces lettings policy for more information.
