
Construction training for eligible residents
The Mayor of London has launched Wave 6 of the Skills Bootcamps. This is a new programme focused on championing London’s skills offer and supporting Londoners into jobs in the capital's key sectors.
The programme is funded by the Department for Education, and will help Londoners gain the skills that employers need. Enfield Council’s Construction Skills Bootcamp 2025/26 is open to the following residents:
- Must have turned 19 on or before August 2025
- Right to live and work in the UK
- An Enfield resident
- Not currently in full-time education
- Employed, unemployed or self-employed

Training with a guaranteed job interview
The programme will deliver flexible training lasting up to 8 weeks with an interview. There will be two cohorts – one in December 2025 and running until February 2026 and another in January, running until March 2026.
The bootcamps are delivered face-to-face in Boleyn Hall community centre. There are 260 guided learning hours in total, including a two-week work placement with a local construction employer. The course runs from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Participants will leave the bootcamp with Level 2 qualifications in Painting and Decorating, Vehicle Marshalling and Employability and a Level 1 in Health and Safety, including a CSCS card. Also, participants are supported with CV writing, interview preparation and confidence building.
