Enfield 500 Youth Housing Forum

Build skills, get experience and have your say.

Are you aged 18 to 25 and living in social housing in Enfield?

The Enfield 500 Youth Housing Forum gives young residents the opportunity to learn practical skills, gain experience and have a say on housing issues that affect them.

What you can get involved in

Learn practical skills

Take part in workshops including painting, carpentry, landscaping and using basic machinery. You can also learn digital skills through AI workshops and get support with becoming self-employed.

Get workplace experience

Meet housing teams, learn about different roles and have the opportunity to shadow our caretaking team.

Build your skills and confidence

Develop your teamwork, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills. You can add the experience you gain to your CV and LinkedIn profile.

Help improve housing

Work with other young residents to look at housing issues and suggest ways they could be improved.

You will have the opportunity to present your ideas at Enfield Civic Centre and meet council officers and leaders.

Have your say

Share your views on issues that affect young residents, including repairs, waste, housing conditions, estates and local services.

Explore career opportunities

You will be given priority for consideration for suitable apprenticeship opportunities. Apprenticeship places are not guaranteed.

You do not need any qualifications
