Big Door Knock March 2026
Thank you to all residents who took part in the Big Door Knock in March. Officers spoke directly with residents to listen to concerns and discuss repairs and estate services.
Information about what is working and where improvements are needed was also given to Officers.
Issues raised have been shared with the relevant teams, and feedback will be used to help improve service delivery.
The visits also helped us update contact details and understand any support needs residents wished to share.
The Big Door Knock is an important part of how we
- listen to residents
- strengthen relationships
- make sure services are informed by real experiences
Thank you again to everyone who took part and helped shape how we work for you.
Resident involvement activities
Our Council Housing Resident Involvement Strategy 2026-2029 (PDF, 827.44 KB) sets out how we plan to make it easier and more worthwhile for you to get involved in your community.
- Involving you more - we will get better at working with you and making sure everyone at the council listens to what you have to say
- Better communication - we will share information in ways that work best for you, using the methods you prefer
- More ways to join in - we will make sure there are different ways for you to get involved, share ideas, and give feedback to help us improve
- Improving neighbourhoods - we will work with you to understand what matters most to you and help make your neighbourhood better
- Making a difference - we will encourage you to help shape and improve Council Housing services by working with us
The strategy aims to help us reach all of our residents and work with them to improve services and find solutions to challenges they may face.
Join The Enfield 500
The Enfield 500 is an online resident engagement group set up by Enfield Council. It is for council tenants and leaseholders. It brings residents together to
- give feedback
- take part in consultations
- help shape housing services and local decisions
For more information, see The Enfield 500.
Tenants and residents associations
Tenants and residents associations (TRAs) are groups of residents who volunteer to represent the views and interests of everyone living on their estate.
A TRA gives residents more say in how their estate is run and allows them to work with the council to find solutions to problems affecting their area. They can also be a way to organise events and activities for all residents to enjoy. Constituted TRA groups receive a £300 grant each year.
TRAs meet with council officers 4 times a year to talk about issues, upcoming changes and report incidents that impact the estate.
If you would like to start a tenants and residents association for your estate, email engagement@enfield.gov.uk.

Meetings can be arranged every 6 months. They cover issues on the estate, upcoming changes and any incidents that affect the estate.

Community events
On Your Doorstep Events
“On Your Doorstep” events are community drop-in sessions organised by Enfield Council’s Resident Liaison and Engagement Team.
They take place on local estates and give residents the opportunity to:
- meet council officers
- raise concerns
- access information on services
- share feedback directly
The events bring together housing, repairs, caretaking, and local safety teams to help resolve issues and improve services. The events also encourage residents to have a voice in their community.
