Enfield’s Big Door Knock
The Council Housing team will be visiting Enfield Council tenants and leaseholders starting the week of 9 June 2025.
We want to hear about the issues that matter to you. We will also be checking if you need any extra support – especially if you have a disability or mobility issues.
We will not be able to visit everyone, but we will share more details about where we will be visiting as soon as they are confirmed.
All our officers door knocking will be wearing an Enfield Council ID badge.
We look forward to meeting you and hearing your views about the services we provide.
The Enfield 500
Have your voice heard by joining The Enfield 500 residents’ advisory and consultation group for council tenants and leaseholders. It ensures that residents’ views and priorities shape the planning, design and delivery of services.
Members receive emails asking if they want to get involved in a particular issue. This could be giving feedback on a leaflet, commenting on a policy or completing a survey.
Membership is flexible and online only, so you can choose when and what to get involved in.
Read the Enfield 500 News Bulletins to find out more about some of the recent work we’ve carried out based on residents’ feedback.

- Making a difference - we will encourage you to help shape and improve Council Housing services by working with us
Tenants and residents associations
Tenants and residents associations (TRAs) are groups of residents who volunteer to represent the views and interests of everyone living on their estate.
A TRA gives residents more say in how their estate is run and allows them to work with the council to find solutions to problems affecting their area. They can also be a way to organise events and activities for all residents to enjoy. Constituted TRA groups receive a £300 grant each year.
TRAs meet with council officers 4 times a year to talk about issues, upcoming changes and report incidents that impact the estate.
If you would like to start a tenants and residents association for your estate, email engagement@enfield.gov.uk.

‘Friends of your estate’ groups
‘Friends of’ groups give residents a chance to meet with their officers where there is no tenants' and residents' association set up. The meetings are a chance to meet with council officers as well as fellow residents.
These meetings can be arranged every 6 months. The meetings will talk about issues on the estate, upcoming changes and report any incidents that impact the estate.
If you would like to start a ‘Friends of’ group for your estate, email engagement@enfield.gov.uk.

How to get in touch
If you would like to be involved in the community, or have more questions about council housing engagement, email our team at engagement@enfield.gov.uk.
We always aim to deliver a positive customer experience, but things do sometimes go wrong. When this happens and you want us to do something about it, please let us know.
If you think we have done a great job, we would like to know that as well, so we can pass this on to the people who have delivered that service. Compliments can be made by using your Enfield Connected account.

Community events
'On Your Doorstep' events 2025
The 'On Your Doorstep' events give residents a chance to meet and talk to council officers from Housing Services. At these events, you can find:
- Housing team
- Repairs team
- Communal Services (caretaking)
- local Safer Neighbourhood teams (Police)
- Engagement Team
- local councillors
- facility to dispose of small electrical items or textiles
During the events, residents can talk directly to officers about issues they have at home or on their estate. The Engagement team will work with these services to help resolve those issues. These events are a good opportunity for us to address issues and improve resident satisfaction and our overall performance. To achieve this, officers will complete a customer satisfaction survey with residents to ask them about their experience of being a council tenant or leaseholder, their views on community safety and their satisfaction with specific council services.
These events were a real success and well attended last year. We were pleased with the positive feedback received. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to email engagement@enfield.gov.uk.
All events are from 11am to 2pm.
