The next Mayor of London and London Assembly elections will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.
Voters in the borough will choose who they want to represent them as:
- Mayor of London
- the Assembly Member of Enfield and Haringey constituency
- London-wide Assembly Members
Key dates to remember:
- Tuesday 16 April 2024 at midnight - this is the last date you can register to vote to participate in the Mayor of London and London Assembly Elections
- Wednesday 17 April 2024, by 5pm - this is the last day you can apply for and return your postal vote or make amendments to any existing voting arrangements
- Wednesday 24 April 2024, by 5pm - this is the last day you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate, if you do not have an accepted form of photo ID
- Wednesday 24 April 2024, by 5pm - this is the last day you can apply for and return your proxy vote application
- Thursday 2 May 2024, 7am to 10pm - this is polling day - remember to bring your photo ID when voting at a polling station

Hand delivered postal votes
If you miss the post, you can hand in your postal vote and postal votes for up to 5 others at the Enfield Civic Centre on Silver Street, during office hours to a person authorised to receive postal votes, or at any polling station in the electoral area before 10pm on Thursday 2 May 2024.
Whether you hand deliver 1 or more postal packs, you will be required to complete a short form. Failure to complete this form will result in your postal vote being rejected. Avoid posting your completed postal vote in the external letter box of Enfield Civic Centre as this will be rejected.
If you wish to stand as a candidate for the Mayor of London and London-wide Assembly member elections, nomination packs are available from the Greater London Returning Officer through London Elects.
If you wish to stand as a candidate for the Enfield and Haringey Constituency election, nomination packs are available from the Elections Team by emailing elections@enfield.gov.uk.
