The Education Strategic Resourcing and Partnerships (ESRP) service plays an important role in making sure Enfield’s schools have the resources, buildings, and support they need to provide high-quality education for children and young people across the borough.
ESRP brings together different specialist teams that plan, fund, develop and coordinate key education services. The service works closely with schools, external partners and council colleagues to create learning environments that are well resourced, sustainable and able to meet both current needs and future demand.
The Strategic Resourcing and Partnerships team within ESRP provides leadership for this work. It oversees how resources are managed and how partnerships are developed and delivered. This helps make sure that investment, planning of school places and services, and joint working are all coordinated to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people in Enfield.
The service also:
- delivers school buildings and maintenance projects through the Capital Delivery Team
- manages Public Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts
- coordinates how resources are allocated
- supports the financial management of maintained schools
- oversees school admissions appeals processes
The service also manages Pupil place planning. This is to make sure there are enough school places available to meet changes in the population across the borough.
