Extended antenatal offer in Enfield course
Enfield’s extended antenatal course helps women, birthing people and their partners prepare for birth and parenthood. It is an interactive online workshop delivered by Enfield Council with partners from the NHS, Breastfeeding Network (BFN), Mind in Enfield and Barnet and Tottenham Hotspur.
The course covers antenatal education, health and wellbeing, and practical support for pregnancy and early parenthood.

Courses run every 6 to 8 weeks on Thursdays from 11am (with breaks).
What the course includes
Week 1 sessions:
- Supporting your baby’s development
- Finances (Citizens Advice Bureau)
- Immunisations
- Stop Smoking services
- Top tips for teeth
- Moving and getting out with your baby
- Community hubs and libraries
- Talk to your baby, bump and beyond
- How to save your child's life – free first aid course information
- Sexual health
Week 2 sessions:
- Breastfeeding peer support service
- Family hub services
- Stop smoking services
- Substance misuse education
- Understanding perinatal mental health
About the event
- Recommended for those 28 weeks pregnant or later
- Birth partners are welcome – they must register separately
- Delivered online via Microsoft Teams
- Opportunity to ask questions during each session
- Resources emailed after the course
