Residents of Enfield have an extraordinary opportunity to turn their creative ideas on how to make the borough a better place to live into a reality.

Residents of Enfield have an extraordinary opportunity to turn their creative ideas on how to make the borough a better place to live into a reality.
Enfield Council has partnered with crowdfunding platform Spacehive to offer support, ensure plans are viable and to help with pitches for funding.
The Council’s Neighbourhood Regeneration Team has a three-year funding pot to be distributed amongst some of the best ideas, with £15,000 available this year alone.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Business Development, Cllr Alan Sitkin, said: “Enfield Council's collaboration with Spacehive is all about community democracy and empowerment. We would like our residents to look closely at how they think they can add value to local communities. All we ask for is that projects are fun, exciting, accessible and can make a difference in the community to help growth and sustainability.
“We have already had three fabulous idea put forward and would love for Enfield to throw its support behind these projects and others."
The crowdfunding programme is open to all groups and individuals in the borough. Enfield is already buzzing with ideas with three projects currently fundraising via Spacehive.
These are the Firs Farm Community Hub & Dementia Café, the Enfield Community Well-Being Café and The Recycle Revival. These projects have also applied for monetary support from the Mayor of London’s Crowdfund London – they may get match funding to help them reach their goals so the more people who show their support and interest, the more chance they will get financial help.

Cllr Sitkin added: "The emphasis is on making a difference to the lives of people in Enfield, ideally in a fun way that supports creativity, the arts and entrepreneurs. We are proud to offer financial backing to some lucky projects. I hope all Enfield residents will back some of the fabulous ideas designed to enhance our community and boost the local economy.”
