Enfield Let looks to work with landlords

Enfield Let wants to hear from local landlords who want to lease their properties anywhere in Enfield with its successful leasing scheme.

In October, Enfield Let introduced ethical letting, the first scheme of its kind in the borough. Ethical letting provides an opportunity for families living in temporary accommodation to move into the private rented sector by removing the difficult financial barriers, providing security and stability and a long-term tenancy.

Enfield Let aims to both improve and set the leading standard in property management, ensuring tenants needs are met by providing a consistent level of service, as well as delivering a hassle-free experience for landlords.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Social Housing, Cllr Gina Needs, said: “Since 2010, Enfield has experienced a significant increase in homelessness cases, with the average stay for tenants in temporary accommodation being two and a half years.

"This must change, and Enfield Let will fill the current gap of affordable housing in the borough, as well as empowering tenants to take responsibility and have the financial ability to move in the future.”

Enfield Let is now taking on good quality two-, three- and four-bedroom properties anywhere in Enfield and more are required to serve our community’s need. Our offer to landlords includes:

* No hassle
* No deductions for void periods
* Vacant possession at end of lease, with no court costs
* £150 contribution for every year that your property is leased to us towards the cost of your valid heating maintenance cover and passed gas safety certificate, if applicable
* Cost of property license met, paid to you pro-rata for every year your property is leased to us
* Helping your local community.

By letting your property through Enfield Let, you are guaranteed competitive rates, financial security and peace of mind.
