Enfield Council calls on government to fully fund the cost of COVID-19

As the predicted cost of dealing with COVID-19 in Enfield tops £64m, the council is calling on the government to honour its pledge to fully fund local authorities expenditure on dealing with the pandemic.

As of today (August 7) the government have promised Enfield Council £27m, leaving a shortfall of £37m which is owed to the borough.
