Coronavirus: Public Information

The Government and NHS are well prepared to deal with the Coronavirus.

Updated: Noon Tuesday 14 April

The situation regarding coronavirus is changing daily and we know that people in Enfield are worried.

We are taking every step to prepare for an increase in confirmed cases, ensuring services supporting our most vulnerable residents have business continuity plans in place.

Protecting the community and busineses:

Enfield Council is working with Enfield Voluntary Action to mobilise the community to help protect the borough's most vulnerable residents - you can volunteer to help, register for help if you are isolated, and find out more about our efforts.

If you can, please help others in your community - check on any vulnerable family, friends and neighbours and to see if they need anything from the shops, a prescription collected or help with other small jobs. Sometimes just a small favour can make a big difference.

Finally, please be responsible with your comments and actions in your community and social media, so as not to cause undue concern or anxiety.

You can find out the latest news and updates about the action we are taking on coronavirus, by signing up to our digital newsletters.

To enable us to understand all of the issues businesses are facing as a result of coronavirus, we are working with our businesses to support them through this period and lobbying the government on their behalf.

Doctors of the World (DOTW) are sharing Coronavirus (Covid 19) advice for patients in 20 languages, which were produced in partnership with the Red Cross, Migrant Help and Clear Voice.

The guidance is based on the government’s updated advice and health information. It will help to ensure this important guidance reaches migrant and asylum-seeking communities in the UK.

Advice is currently available in Albanian, Dari, French, Pashto and Portuguese. Advice in Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Arabic, Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese and Farsi will be available soon.
