This year’s annual Foster Carers Celebration Event, hosted by Enfield Council, recognised the extraordinary individuals who open their homes to children and young people across the borough.
The event brought together foster carers, council staff and special guests including cabinet members and senior directors to honour the life-changing work foster carers do every day.
A highlight of the evening was the Long Service Awards, celebrating carers who have dedicated many years to fostering in Enfield. Among those recognised were:
- Cevher and Mustafa Meyzin – 25 years of service
- Ruhi and Abdul Rana – 23 years
- Sharon and Lee Romer – 24 years
- Malone White – 25 years
Their unwavering commitment has transformed the lives of countless children. Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “Our foster carers are the backbone of our community. Their compassion and dedication provide vulnerable children with the safety and support they need to thrive. This celebration is a small token of our immense gratitude for the incredible difference they make every single day.
“Enfield Council extends its deepest thanks to all foster carers, whether newly joined or long-serving, for the vital role they play in supporting children and families across the borough.”
