Enfield’s Summer University programme returns this July with exciting free courses for young people, aged 11 to 19 or up to 25 years old with special educational needs, to participate in.
The Summer Uni aims to unlock participants’ full potential and inspire the next generation who live, work or study in Enfield, giving them an early introduction to key industries.
Exclusive Tik-Tok influencer course, making a side hustle into a reality and creating engaging podcasts are some of the many classes being offered.
With more than 70 courses and activities to choose from, young people in Enfield are encouraged to register their interest online before they are fully booked. Courses are available on a first come first served basis and will be held around Enfield.
To add more layers of fun, each week is tailored to represent a host country of the Olympics and Euro Football Championships 2024 to bring the Olympic spirit to Enfield.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, said: “We are proud to see initiatives like the Summer Uni going from strength to strength every year. Not only are we committed to raising young people’s aspirations by enabling them to learn new skills, but we are further engaging them in positive community-building activities, that are beneficial to them and the wider community, through these courses.”
