A suspected drug dealer has been arrested with the help of Enfield Council’s CCTV team.
A suspected drug dealer was arrested after Enfield Council CCTV operators suspected he was selling drugs in an Enfield park.
The man was caught on camera just before 5pm in Ponders End Park on 10 August, the operators alerted police who turned up minutes later and arrested him.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Safety & Cohesion, Cllr Nneka Keazor, said: “We do not tolerate drug dealing or any other type of illegal activity in Enfield and those who choose to break the law need to know that our award winning CCTV network operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year to help the police bring them to justice.
“Our CCTV team are professional, dedicated and effective and mean that criminals have nowhere to hide from the long arm of the law. Enfield Council will continue to work tirelessly to make our borough safe and a more pleasant place for everyone to live in.”
