The Enfield Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) is a statutory body that oversees religious education and collective worship in Enfield’s non-denominational schools.
Every local authority must establish a SACRE. Local authorities must appoint representatives to 4 groups:
- Group A: Christian denominations and other religions and religious denominations that, in the local authority’s opinion, reflect the main religious traditions in the area
- Group B: The Church of England
- Group C: Teacher associations
- Group D: The local authority
