Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of rubbish which can vary in scale significantly.
Use the fly-tipping form to let us know if you have:
- actually seen fly tipping taking place (a witness statement may be required)
- information about people fly-tipping or dumping rubbish
- CCTV, video or photographic evidence that could help us catch the fly-tippers
A Waste Enforcement Officer will review the information you have provided and may contact you.
Fly-tipping on council land
There are numerous teams working throughout the day, both proactively and reactively, to clear waste on publicly owned roads and paths.
Fly-tipping on private land
We are not responsible for clearing fly-tips on private land - this is the responsibility of the land owner(s). Waste Enforcement Officers can serve enforcement notices requiring landowners to clear land.
Fly-tipping in or near waterways
If fly-tipping is in or by rivers, streams or canals, or on their paths or banks, contact the Environment Agency on 0800 807060.
