Business support for entrepreneurs with BIPC Enfield
The Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) Enfield offers free business support to potential entrepreneurs, start-ups and established businesses:
- Development resources, community workspace, and expert advice available
- Share your ideas for a new start-up or growing scale-up
- Book a one-to-one session with one of our advisors to get specialised help
The centre is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
We are located on the first floor of Edmonton Green Library.
Services are available for Enfield library cardholders who need support for their business journey. We offer a cosy and well-lit work environment with free Wi-Fi.

Kickstart your business
We’re working with the British Library’s Business & IP Centre (BIPC) to provide free and accessible business support for anyone who owns a business in London.
Kickstart Your Business is a free 2-day start-up programme that helps you to set-up and grow your business:
- Sign-up for Day 1 and you will learn about the different aspects of intellectual property and how they relate to your business. You will also get practical advice on how to use BIPC resources to protect, research and develop your business ideas.
- Sign-up for Day 2 and you will explore the key elements of starting and running a successful business, as well as common mistakes and how to avoid them

Get free tailored advice from our in-house experts in the comfort of our business centre in Enfield or online.

Enfield library members get free access to factsheets, market reports, contacts, funding sources and support. You can also get hundreds of practical guides for starting more than 350 types of businesses.
You can login to COBRA using your library card number.

- Enterprise Enfield offers advice, guidance and support services – it empowers and inspires start-up and established businesses to grow and prosper
- Federation of Small Businesses – (London) is the UK's largest campaigning pressure group – it promotes and protects the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms. Also offers networking, mentoring and business factsheets.

- GOV.UK is the official UK government website
- Great Business offers support, advice and inspiration for growing your business, including the 'My Business Support Tool'
- Institute of Directors is the UK's longest running group for professional leaders, and has 36,000 members supported through 48 regional branches across the UK – business events, information and advice
- UK Business Angels Association is the national trade association representing Angel and early stage investment in the UK – their website includes a directory for those seeking investment
- Start Ups and Start Up Donut offer advice and guidance on all aspects of starting a business, including finance, accounts, sales and IT
- Prince's Trust enterprise programme provides money and support to help young people start up in business

- Small Business Research and Enterprise Centre is the leading public library for business information. It offers free access to the UK's most comprehensive collection of business databases and publications. This includes start up advice, information on funding sources, market research, company data and business news.
