Our Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) Enfield offers free, comprehensive support for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established businesses and organisations. Our services are designed to help you develop, protect and grow your business or ideas. Our services include:
- business support and information – access guidance on a wide range of business topics
- workshops – learn how to protect, develop, and grow your business through practical workshops
- one-to-one advice sessions – get specialised support with tailored, individual sessions from our information specialists
- networking events – connect with business professionals and share knowledge at our regular networking events
We are located on the first floor of Edmonton Green Library, where we offer a modern and well-lit work environment with free Wi-Fi.

Businesses resources
COBRA
COBRA, the Complete Business Reference Advisor, provides critical business and industry information on over 350 different types of businesses, including factsheets, market reports and industry trends. Enfield library members can login to COBRA by using their Enfield library card number.
GrantFinder
GrantFinder is one of the leading funding databases in the UK, covering local, national, and international sources of funding. The database is supported by a dedicated team of expert researchers who check, digest, verify and report daily on thousands of funding sources, including:
- charitable trusts
- societies
- research councils
- national government
- corporate sponsors
Enfield library members can login to GrantFinder by visiting an Enfield library with their Enfield library card number and speaking to a staff member.
Business and Intellectual Property Centre
We've selected a team of skilled local founders to serve as Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) Enfield ambassadors. They update us on the issues that affect the local business community. Their achievements, passion, and dynamism are an essential element of BIPC Enfield.

Legal Foundation
Empowering local businesses
Legal Foundations is a not-for-profit service. It helps startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises get the legal support they need. It is run by experienced lawyers. The service offers free templates, guides, and advice to help businesses create contracts, policies, and other legal documents. If a business needs more advanced help, they can also connect you with trusted legal partners.
Made Smarter programme
The Made Smarter Adoption programme aims to support manufacturing businesses in adopting digital technologies to drive growth, productivity and sustainability. The programme is now taking applications for:
- Leadership and management course with Brunel University of London
- Organisational workforce development course with Kings College London
- Fully paid, 12-week internships in partnership with Brunel University of London
- Grant funding
The Made Smarter adoption programme in London is delivered by London and Partners on behalf of the Greater London Authority. To register your interest in the programme, visit Made Smarter Adoption London.

North London Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise
North London Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise (NLCCE) is an independent membership-led organisation. The NLCCE supports and represents business, education and charities across North London. They also work further afield.
It offers a wide range of specialist services to create business growth. It also helps companies raise their profile and generate new connections and opportunities.

Local workspaces
Angel Yard - Launch It
Forming part of Enfield Council’s transformative regeneration of the Upper Edmonton area, Angel Yard is a collection of workspaces. The workspaces are located on the Joyce and Snell’s Estate in Angel Edmonton.
Angel Yard is being delivered by Enfield Council in partnership with the Mayor of London’s Good Growth Fund. It will be operated by enterprise charity Launch It. For more information about this vibrant, new home to young entrepreneurs, visit Launch It.
Productive Valley Fund
A loan fund to help your business grow
The Productive Valley Fund (PVF) is a flexible loan fund to support industry-led growth. It also celebrates local production and enterprise in the Upper Lee Valley.
The fund is open to small to medium-sized industrial estate based businesses in the Upper Lee Valley - Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest. It is also open to those looking to move to the Upper Lea Valley
