Public Spaces Protection Orders

Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) allow the council to work with the police to control antisocial behaviour in public places. A PSPO places prohibitions or restrictions in a public place to prevent antisocial behaviour.

Breaching a PSPO is a criminal offence which may result in a fixed penalty notice (FPN) of £100. If the notice is not paid, the case may be referred to a Magistrates’ Court where a fine of up to £1,000 may be imposed.

There is no formal right of appeal against an FPN. However, you may submit an informal challenge if you believe the notice was issued incorrectly by emailing pspo@enfield.gov.uk.

Current PSPOs

Following a public consultation, the below PSPOs were introduced in April 2024 and October 2025.
