Places at Enfield secondary schools were allocated in line with the published admissions criteria for each school. You can read the criteria, in Your guide to secondary schools in Enfield (PDF, 4735.48 KB).
Accepting your offer
If you applied online and received your offer by email, you must accept the place by 16 March 2026 using your eAdmissions account. We advise that you accept the place even if you want to pursue a different school, either through the waiting list or appeals process.
For information on oversubscribed community schools, academies and free schools, and the furthest distances we offered places, see Secondary transfer 2026 allocation information (PDF, 249.64 KB).
Waiting lists
All oversubscribed Enfield schools have waiting lists. You can email the Admission Service at esas@enfield.gov.uk to get waiting list positions for the following schools:
- Aim North London
- Ark John Keats Academy
- Highlands School
- Kingsmead School
- Southgate School
- Winchmore School
- Wren Academy Enfield
Please include your child’s full name and date of birth, or their application reference number.
The Latymer School have written directly to all families with a child on their waiting list.
If the school is outside Enfield, you will either need to contact the local authority in which the school is situated or the school directly. Information will be on the local authority’s website.
If you want your child to be considered for a school that was not one of your original preferences, or was a lower preference than the school offered, complete an ST2 form (PDF, 110.81 KB). You should email the completed form to esas@enfield.gov.uk by 16 March 2026.
Appeals
If your child was not offered a place at your preferred school, you can make an appeal against the decision.
Appeals for community schools are arranged by the appeal service. Academies, voluntary aided, foundation and free schools are responsible for their won appeal procedures.
For more information, see school admissions appeals.
Schools outside of Enfield

They will be able to advise you about the waiting list positions and have information about why your application was unsuccessful. You will also be able to find information on their website.
