Co-production, participation, and working with parents and carers

Working together

Co-production is the process of parents, carers, children, young people, and professionals working together to create a service that works for everyone.

We work in partnership with the Our Voice parent carer forum and the Enfield National Autistic Society to make sure that the views of parents and carers are included in all we do. Our Voice are members of the SEND Partnership Board and sit on the work streams that feed into the board.

We also take part in the annual 'Meet the SEND heads' parent conference organised by Our Voice. This is a chance for parents to meet the heads of service and take part in a question and answer session about local services.

The Joint Service for Disabled Children has been working closely with parents and carers to improve the play and leisure offer, including holiday playschemes. Moving forward, we will be working with Our Voice to improve the inclusivity of universal playscheme and holiday club providers.

Details of the governance arrangements and holiday playschemes can be found in the Enfield SEND Local Offer Annual Report 2020/21 (PDF, 9675.08 KB).
