A Child Protection case conference is a meeting called by the LA to determine whether the child in question can be protected without the need for a court order, and if so – how. The Local Authority will have investigated the concerns raised and will be of the belief that the child is suffering or is likely to suffer significant harm.
This workshop will support partners to see examples of good practice when completing conference reports and how your contribution to case conferences are crucial. Attending a case conference can be daunting and nerve racking, however hopefully this workshop will better equip you with the confidence to attend and participate in a conference.
This workshop will also discuss how to escalate concerns that may arise from a case conference and when there are dissenting views.
