Family Safeguarding Information Session

Enfield Children’s Services is moving to the Family Safeguarding Model as our core practice model across all services. This is a significant step forward in strengthening how we work with children, young people and families—ensuring that our practice is consistent, evidence-informed and focused on improving children’s lived experiences.

At its core, Family Safeguarding is a whole-family, strengths-based approach that focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying causes of harm, ensuring children are safe and supported to thrive. It brings greater alignment across services, strengthens multi-agency working, and helps us to provide more joined-up, consistent support to families.

To support everyone through this transition, a series of Family Safeguarding Model Information Sessions are being delivered.

These sessions will:

  • Explain what the model means in practice
  • Outline what will change for teams and roles
  • Provide an opportunity for you to ask questions and share feedback
