Foster care fortnight is a national campaign spearheaded by the Fostering Network to showcase foster carers and the work they do to transform children’s lives.
Enfield Council is taking this opportunity to reach out to potential foster carers with recruitment events and information stalls taking place in Enfield up to 26 May 2019.
Our main event is our foster care fortnight information session Friday 24 May from 10am to 12pm at Triangle House, 305-313 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, N13 4YB. More details about this and all of the events we have coming up can be found on our dedicated website events page. Alternatively you can contact the recruitment team with any questions you may have on 020 8379 2831 or emailing fostering@enfield.gov.uk
Experienced foster carers in Enfield Lee and Sharon, explained: "We have fostered for over 18 years and cared for many children, ranging in ages from birth to ten years old, some for only a matter of days and others for longer. It's a wonderful and rewarding experience. Seeing the difference to a child who has not had the best start and knowing you have helped make that change, and steered them towards a new course, is priceless.
"We would like to encourage you to explore further whether you could take on this life changing role. We are very glad we took the step to become Enfield Council foster carers. With the support of our family, friends and Enfield Council we all play a part to improve the lives of the children we care for."
