The home is run by Independence and Well Being Enfield a wholly owned Council company

London’s newest nursing home which offers specialist care for the borough’s most vulnerable residents has been officially opened by the Mayor of Enfield.Bridgewood House, is a 70-bed residential and nursing home in Enfield Highway which provides care for people over 65 with conditions including dementia.

Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Christine Hamilton, officially opened the building with a plaque unveiling and tour on 15 February.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Health & Adult Social Care, Cllr Alev Cazimoglu, said: “It is the sign of a caring and nurturing society that we look after its most vulnerable members in a safe, welcoming and nurturing setting. The Council made the decision to invest in the future of our older people in Enfield to ensure they have access to a high-quality building with the latest facilities, so they can receive the care they rightfully deserve.“Bridgewood House will provide great care to those who need it the most, to help improve the physical, mental and emotional well-being of its residents. The safety of and provision for adults with complex needs is our top priority.”


Residents and staff from the Council’s previous two existing care homes, Bridge House and Coppice Wood Lodge, moved into Bridgewood House last year. The new care home is run by Independence and Well Being Enfield Ltd.
