Join Dugdale Arts Centre’s very first book festival

Bookworms, book lovers and readers are invited to Dugdale Arts Centre’s first ever book festival.

The festival will be an opportunity to meet authors, influencers and industry professionals.

The line-up features a wide range of authors, including independently published writers such as Megan Clawson, author of Falling Hard for the Royal Guard, Justin Myers, author of The Last Romeo, and more.

Ticket holders will have opportunities to mingle with the authors at their stalls, purchase books and get them signed on the day.

The event further offers interactive activities such as ‘Creating Bookmarks with Lauren Leely’ and a ‘Book Swap Table with Fiksy’. Attendees are encouraged to bring a book they have read and pick up a new one from the table.

Hosted by Mia Caven, founder of Chapters and Pages management and an indie author, this initiative aims to create a community space for literacy lovers of all ages.

Councillor Chinelo Anyanwu, Cabinet Member for Culture and Inclusion, said “We are delighted to welcome all these incredible authors to Dugdale Arts Centre, the cultural hub of Enfield and into an inclusive space, to celebrate literacy.

“Whether you are an avid reader or would like to come along for a chat, For the Love of Books is created for anyone who simply loves reading and writing.

“Why not bring your friends or children along and enjoy a day of fun with people who share the same passion.”

Enfield Council is committed to being an inclusive, accessible culture hub, encouraging community connection through arts, education and social events.

For the Love of Books event will take place on 18 April, from 10am to 5pm at Dugdale Arts Centre. To book your slot now, visit Dugdale Arts Centre.
