New monthly supper club series launching soon at Dugdale Arts Centre

Dugdale Arts Centre, in partnership with award-winning author and chef Urvashi Roe, is launching a brand-new programme called Enfield FEASTS! inviting residents to enjoy a series of monthly supper clubs featuring bespoke menus prepared by local and well-established chefs.

Urvashi Roe, former contestant of The Great British Bake Off, will kick-start the series on 7 February with an Indian-inspired ‘Colour’ theme to celebrate the festival of Holi. This will be followed by acclaimed Polish Food Writer Ren Behan, who will prepare a seasonal Polish feast.

The supper clubs will explore stories and reveal authentic flavours from around the world using local ingredients from Forty Hall Farm and local allotments. More exciting guest chefs and dates are yet to be announced.

Guests will enjoy a multi-course dining experience, panel discussions with the chef and other local community representatives, and an evening of storytelling. Signed copies of the guest chef’s book will be available to purchase on the night.

Councillor Chinelo Anyanwu, Cabinet Member for Culture and Inclusion, said: “Food is a language understood by all, so it’s great we’re launching Enfield FEASTS! a programme that will bring our communities together. This is one of many ways we are celebrating our wonderful and diverse borough.

“These supper clubs provide so much more than food. They are designed to be enjoyed as a community experience so we can eat, share stories, and proudly celebrate who we are as a borough.

“Whether you’re a foodie or would just like to connect and make new friends, I would highly recommend that you join the Enfield FEASTS! experience.”

Urvashi, said: “We have a wonderful community of food lovers, creators and growers in our beautiful borough. With this supper club series, we wanted to showcase the diversity of food culture in Enfield and show off our locally grown veg, as well as grow a community of likeminded foodies.”

Enfield Council is committed to championing local talents, including chefs, to create programmes like Enfield FEASTS! to celebrates Enfield’s rich and diverse heritage.
