The construction of a new state-of-the-art Mental Health Hub in Bush Hill Park has begun, marking a major milestone in Enfield Council’s commitment to improving mental health services and supporting residents’ wellbeing.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Health & Social Care Cllr Alev Cazimoglu joined project staff and partners to celebrate the start of works that will transform the existing site into a modern, fully accessible hub.

The new facility will bring together mental health services - currently working across two different locations in Park Avenue and Silver Street – into one welcoming location offering high-quality, community-based support.

Once complete, the Hub will provide specialist mental health services, a community café offering short-term crisis and preventative support and other initiatives. There will be help for service users to manage long-term conditions, access rehabilitation, and receive support into training, volunteering and employment.

The £3.387 million project is primarily funded through the Better Care Fund, along with contributions from Section 106 funding and the Corporate Condition Programme. The building contractors are Greyline & Allen Construction Consultancy.

Cllr Alev Cazimoglu, Cabinet Member for Health & Social Care, said: Today marks a hugely significant step forward in how we support residents experiencing mental health challenges. By bringing our services together under one roof, we are creating a warm, safe and accessible space where people can receive the right help at the right time. This Hub reflects our commitment to prevention, early intervention and community support. I’m incredibly proud to see construction underway.”

The new Mental Health Hub aligns with the Council Plan and Enfield’s Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy. These emphasise reducing social isolation, improving access to high-quality services and creating inclusive community spaces.

The Hub is expected to open its doors to residents in late Spring 2026.
