Round 3 of the Meridian Water Community Chest opens for applications

Community Chest

Enfield Council has announced the launch of Community Chest Round 3, providing local not-for-profit organisations and charities with the opportunity to apply for up to £10,000 in funding to bring their community projects to life.

The Community Chest aims to empower residents and community groups to make a real difference across Edmonton, whether through improving community spaces, creating local job opportunities, supporting young people, or tackling health and wellbeing challenges.

This follows the success of Round 2, which funded 24 projects with over £330,000 in funding, helping to transform the local area through a wide range of different activities. Enfield Council is once again encouraging local Edmonton groups with great ideas to come forward.

The Leader of Enfield Council, Cllr Ergin Erbil, said: “Round 2 of the Community Chest showed just how much energy, creativity, and passion there is in Edmonton. From youth initiatives to health and wellbeing programmes, these projects are helping to build stronger, more connected communities and to support our aim of making Enfield a safer, cleaner and more inclusive place to live, work and study in. We can’t wait to see what new ideas come forward for Round 3.”

Applications are open from 12 November until 5pm on 31 December 2025. All eligible organisations are invited to apply for grants of up to £10,000 to support projects that:

  • Improve a physical area within the community
  • Create opportunities for local people through skills, training, or employment
  • Improve life chances for young people
  • Address health inequalities
