Enfield Council’s fifth Recruitment Day event saw record attendance and the most diverse range of employers to date, helping hundreds of residents secure job opportunities and to take the next step in their careers.
Held at Southbury Leisure Centre on 5 June, the sold-out event welcomed 64 job and training providers across 15 industries – from local, small and medium-sized businesses to larger retail and banking to education and public health services.
Among the standout employers were high-profile names such as John Lewis and HSBC, which offered insights into current vacancies and advice on career development.
More than 1,000 job seekers registered for the event, with many taking advantage of the opportunity to speak directly with employers, apply for jobs and join fully booked workshops, including CV advice sessions and an introduction to the North Central London Health and Social Care Academy.
Councillor Ergin Erbil, Leader of Enfield Council, said: “Once again, I am truly happy to confirm that Enfield Council’s fifth Enfield Recruitment Day was a huge success!
“Every year, our Recruitment Day event goes from strength to strength because we are passionate about supporting residents, especially during this challenging time, to find high-quality jobs.
“Three-quarters of attendees rated the event with the top score of five, which is a testament to our team, who worked incredibly hard to make this possible.
