This page presents Enfield's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) on loneliness and social isolation, two related but distinct issues that can affect physical health, mental wellbeing, quality of life and independence. The assessment brings together local and national evidence to better understand the impact of loneliness and social isolation across the borough.
The JSNA includes:
- An overview of loneliness and social isolation, including key definitions and their impact on health and wellbeing.
- Analysis of the prevalence and distribution of loneliness and social isolation across Enfield.
- Identification of population groups that may be at greater risk.
- Evidence on the wider health, social and economic consequences of disconnectedness.
- A review of local services, assets and support available to residents.
- Consideration of unmet need, gaps in provision and opportunities for future action.
The findings will help inform local planning, service development and partnership working to strengthen social connections and support healthier, more resilient and inclusive communities across Enfield.
