Introduction
- The majority (89.3%) of Enfield adults say they are happy with their life. (ONS 2021/22)
- The percentage of recorded depression in people aged 18 and over was 9.7% in Enfield, this is significantly better than the England average, but in recent years this percentage has been increasing in Enfield (OHID, 21/22)
- Enfield’s suicide rate (5.3 per 100,000) is fifth lowest in London and significantly lower compared to England (7.2 per 100,000)
(OHID 21/22) - The percentage of recorded severe mental illness (including schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder and other psychoses) was 1.1%, which is significantly worse than the England average.
