Oakwood Park wetlands

Details

A tributary of the Houndsden Stream runs in a pipe on the eastern side of the Park. When it rains, this can overwhelm the Stream, causing flooding. As the area surrounding the Park is urbanised, this means that the Stream suffers from pollution.

Our proposals were to introduce wetland features on the eastern side of the Park that would enhance the habitat and amenities, whilst also addressing wider water quality and flood issues.

The details of our proposals were detailed in our Oakwood Park wetlands consultation document (PDF) and the short video below.

All residents, local groups, schools and other users of the park.
