Domestic Abuse and Hate Crime Policy

Status:
Current consultation
Start date:
22 October 2026
Closing date:
04 January 2027

Details

We are consulting on a draft Domestic Abuse and Hate Crime Policy. The draft sets out how we propose to support people affected by domestic abuse, hate crime or hate incidents.

We want people to feel safe and confident asking for help. The draft policy sets out how we propose to respond, the support that would be available and how we would work with other services to help keep people safe.

If adopted, the policy would support the Council Plan 2023 to 2026 by helping to build strong, healthy and safe communities, where people are treated fairly and with respect.
