Firs Farm wetlandsWe asked for your views on the draft Blue and Green Strategy.

Details

This Strategy sets out how we will work with a wide range of key stakeholders and partners to deliver improvements to the quality, condition and value of the borough’s parks, trees, open spaces, routes and watercourses.

Alongside this strategy, we published an audit of the borough’s blue and green infrastructure, including parks, play spaces, green routes and watercourses (for information purposes only). We also undertook a review of the borough’s nature conservation sites, priority habitats and priority species.

Once adopted, the Strategy will replace the existing Parks and Open Space Strategy and Biodiversity Action Plan and will be used to guide the provision of blue-green infrastructure in association with future development.

Further information, including a copy of our Strategy, was made available on our Let's Talk Enfield website.

Who could participate

All residents, local businesses, community groups (for example, Friends of Parks) and external stakeholders (for example, government bodies, neighbouring authorities and statutory agencies) were invited to share their views.

How the consultation was delivered

We asked for views to be submitted through our questionnaire or in writing by either email or by post.
