We place the highest value on our employees because it is their determination, expertise and commitment that allow us to provide the top quality services to our 300,000 residents. Consequently, we place an equally high value on training and development.
We want you to develop to your full potential, and that means more than simply sending you on training courses, excellent though they are. We actively promote the use of secondments, and action learning sets among the many developmental tools and programmes at our disposal.
We also offer a comprehensive corporate short course programme of activity which links all the training on offer to the Council’s competency framework and values, including basic skills; various IT packages; a range of specialist in house courses; specialist and professional qualification programmes; and our Leadership and Management programme, "Leading Enfield" which offers the Institute of Leadership and Management qualifications. We also run very successful mentoring and coaching programmes to staff at all levels.

In recognition of our commitment to our staff we have been awarded Investors in People accreditation, which is a national standard given to organisations and businesses that have clear goals for their staff and actively help them to experience success.
