Council leader urges residents to help to make Enfield excellent
Date and Time of Publication:- 2008-10-08 13:06:40Thousands of residents have been asked what they think of Enfield as a place to live and about the issues facing the borough in a new survey.
The new government Place Survey was sent to 6,000 randomly selected households in Enfield by Ipsos MORI (market research company) on behalf of Enfield Council and the Enfield Strategic Partnership.
The survey asks residents what they think about their local area and will capture their experiences and perceptions of living in Enfield.
It covers topics such as satisfaction with public services, for example GP services, the police and public transport, as well as how well informed people feel about various subjects, such as where to register to vote
Enfield Council leader, Cllr Mike Rye said: “We want Enfield Council to be an excellent Council.
“The best way of achieving this aim is to find out what residents want and need and what they think are the most important issues facing their lives and the borough.
“I urge residents to complete the questionnaire as soon as possible so we can identify your priorities for action.”
Anyone over 18 years old, living in a household can answer the questions, which should take only about 15 minutes to complete. There’s a pre-paid envelope so it costs nothing to send it back. Results from the survey will be available in March 2009.
