Children use their critical faculties to judge
What is Enfield’s favourite Children’s Book? This summer children aged from 9 – 12 are invited to vote for their favourite book from the long list of almost 100 titles at any Enfield library.
This is the first ever Enfield Children’s Book Award and help is needed to find the winning title.
The top choices will be narrowed down further during the school year and the winner will be announced next spring.
Cllr Jon Kaye, cabinet member for leisure, culture and Olympics, said, ”The ‘Enfield Children’s Book Award’ is chosen by children, and every vote is important.
“This activity should stimulate an interest in reading and I expect many youngsters will recognise the books on the list. All Enfield Libraries have details of the award so take a trip to the library and vote.”
