It’s national Playday on Wednesday 6th August and children can enjoy a great day of free fun and entertainment at the Enfield Town Park.
Playday is the annual celebration of children's right to play. It is a national campaign where thousands of children and young people get out and play at locally organised events.
Enfield Council’s play development team has put together a day packed with exciting fun events.
Play development manager, Ricky Williams, says, “This year's Playday campaign theme, ‘Give us a go!’ calls for children to take part in challenging and adventurous play opportunities and aims to shake off the 'cotton wool' culture that can limit children’s play.”
This free day is open to everyone. Activities on the day include; bouncy castles, arts and crafts, dance workshop, face painting, play activities, games, balloon race and give away, children's disco and under fives play area from Asquith Day Nurseries.
There will be entertainers, strolling players, competitions, music, laughter and fun. For more information please contact Ricky Williams Play Development manager on 020 8350 1126.
