Twenty students aged 11 -17 from Aylands, West Lea, Oaktree, and Durants schools represented the borough and brought back their medals from Beckenham Spa.
They competed in 25m and 50m races in freestyle, back -stroke, and breast -stroke against 25 other London boroughs.
Points were totalled up from individual races to give a combined team score, with the boys finishing third and the small team of girls finishing a very respectable seventh.
Ian Reddington from Enfield Sports Development commented, “It’s been a very busy and very successful month. Credit must go to all the competitors and staff involved with the teams. Our next challenge is to get these talented young people involved and included with more local clubs so they can keep challenging themselves”
Cllr John Kaye, cabinet member for leisure, culture and Olympics, added, “These are excellent results and we are proud of these young people and their success. Their medals are well-deserved and their determination is well –rewarded.”
