Council housing repairs now go online
Date and Time of Publication:- 2008-02-27 11:35:07Council tenants and leaseholders now have the choice to report housing repairs via the council website, through a brand new web based system called Interfinder.

The system, which guides tenants through reporting the repair step by step, uses diagrams showing different pieces of equipment to help the tenant record the right fault. It then asks if there are further comments, the full details of the tenant, and then requests the most convenient time for the repair to be carried out.
Once this information is recorded it is instantly sent to the Repairs Centre who check the reports regularly. Action is then taken to fix the fault.
The system is also disability compliant for partially sighted people.
Cllr Matthew Laban, Cabinet Member for Housing said “This great new system allows any one of our tenants or leaseholders to report a fault 24 hours a day at a time that suits them.
“It also makes the whole process so much easier. All they need to do when online is point at the object they have a fault with, like a gutter, sink etc and click, fill in their details and send. It really is that easy.”
