Enfield libraries are running four workshops to develop and showcase creative writing and artistic talent.

The sessions form part of Enfield libraries celebrations for World Book Day on Thursday 6th March and the National Year of Reading 2008.

Writers Workshop

Thursday 28th February 3.30 - 5.30pm

An Evening of poetry: Local poets showcase their work

Illustrators' Workshop: Creating picture books - bring a character to life

Saturday 8th March 2 - 5pm

If you've always wanted to illustrate books for children, let local children's author and illustrator Claire Alexander inspire and guide you through the basic principles. At the session, you will learn how to write a character study, bring it to life in colour and create characters publishers will love.
