Balcony Bingo at Brittany House

This week saw Brittany House in Brigadier Hill resound to the word ‘HOUSE’ as an enthusiastic group of its residents enjoyed not one but four games of bingo over one day.

Pete Porpora, Contracts Manager, and Nick Brounos, Resident Liaison Officer, both from Connaught Partnerships Ltd kindly laid on the day. Prizes of £50 Marks and Spencer vouchers were also provided by the company. This was all to mark the start of major refurbishment work to replace all the residents’ balconies over the coming 12 months.

Photo shows Joan Wilson receiving her vouchers from Nick Brounos.

Resident Joan Wilson was the first lucky resident to get a full house during the day, with expertly called numbers from resident and social organiser Peggy Patston. Peggy not only gets involved organising the bingo, and is a dab hand at darts, but she even runs an on-site shop as well!

Hyacinth Forbes and Caroline Smith, Sheltered Housing Officers, were both on hand to ensure that the day went off without a hitch, and to aid any bingo players needing a little help.

Everyone had a wonderful day.
