Parents of children in Enfield who are due to start secondary school in September have now received the results of their application for a school place.

Almost 94% of Enfield children whose parents applied by the deadline have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools.

This is the second year that Enfield has participated in the PAN London Co-ordinated Admissions System.

Thirty-nine councils exchanged information about applications to each other’s schools and worked together to reduce the number of children receiving multiple offers.

Enfield Council, along with all its partners worked hard to ensure parents in Enfield were sent their information on National Offer Day, 3rd March 2008.

Councillor Glynis Vince, cabinet member for education, children’s services and Leisure said, ”Once again, I am delighted to tell parents that there are sufficient school places in Enfield for every child transferring from primary to secondary schools this year. It is good news that 94% of parents have been offered a place at a school of their preference.”
