What’s the Funky Future? In an exciting activity day devoted to ideas and innovation at Forty Hall, children aged from 5 – 13 can discover past inventions and create new ones.

Free Art and Design workshops are running in three sessions on Saturday 17th May from 11am – 12.30pm, 1pm – 2,30pm and 3pm – 4.30pm. Each session has 20 places for children, and adults can also join the fun by helping to create masterpieces!

Throughout the year, Forty Hall’s programme is designed to inspire young artists, encourage interest in architecture and archaeology and attract performance art.

Some events re-enact scenes from history with people dressed in full costume while others are about learning crafts.

Forty Hall manager Gavin Williams, says, “We have a different event every month. Some old favourites such as Halloween and our Christmas activities attract people from all over the borough.

“We also like to introduce new ideas and make everyone welcome. Whatever your interests, Forty Hall will have something to entertain or learn.”
