Forty Hall
Sessions start at 10am, 11.15am and 1pm, and last for one hour
How exciting would it be to handle original objects from Victorian times or World War Two?
Junior school children can hear all about these times from a costumed interpreter and get the chance to dress up and play the parts of the people of the time at one of these popular sessions at Forty Hall.
There is a choice of sessions, which are designed for up to 30 children. At these events children are encouraged to ask questions and imagine another time.
Cllr Jon Kaye, cabinet member for leisure, culture and Olympics, said, “Children get a lot from these sessions where they can learn what happened in another time.
“Handling objects from the past really does bring history to life explaining how events took place, what people endured and to some extent how that may have shaped society today.”
Costs are £2 per child. For booking details and enquiries schools should contact the Enfield Museum Service team on 020 8379 1478 or 020 8379 1468/9 or email: emily.jost@enfield.gov.uk or enfield.museum.service@enfield.gov.uk.
