It’s National Playday on Wednesday 1st August and Enfield Council is inviting all children to come and have some party fun in Enfield Town Park from 12noon – 4pm

Ricky Williams, of the play development team, said, “Playday marks our children's right to play and this year we are celebrating in style with some sure-fire hits such as bouncy castles, arts and crafts, dance workshop, face painting, play activities, games, balloon race and giveaways.

“There will also be a children's disco and entertainers to bring lots of laughter to the event, and an under fives play area specially provided by Asquith Day Nurseries – it’s a day that must not be missed.”

The theme, ‘Our streets too’ harks back to a time when children could play safely on the streets – not always possible these days – so here is a chance for children to enjoy themselves making new friends and doing what they do best – playing.

Cllr Paul McCannah, cabinet member for leisure, sports and Olympics, said, “This free event for everyone is four hours of festive activity for children of all ages – it’s a great day out. We look forward to seeing you there.”
