 Value and Importance of Play

What Is An After School Club?

An After School Club provides children with fun play opportunities and quality care in a safe and supervised setting. At all our clubs we offer a variety of stimulating and fun activities including:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Games and sports
  • Drama and music
  • Reading and storytelling
  • Imaginative play, free play and quiet play

Our staff value children and recognise the importance of play as part of their healthy development. They encourage children to:

  • Have fun and participate in both planned and spontaneous play
  • Develop their social skills
  • Build their confidence and self esteem
  • Form positive relationships with other children and adults
  • Share, respect and learn from each other's cultures, experiences and traditions

    What Are The Opening Times?

Our clubs run during term-time, Monday to Friday from straight after school until between 5.30pm - 6.00pm (times vary at each club).

Who Can Use The After School Clubs?

The clubs are for children aged 4 years (if attending full-time school) - 11 years old. The clubs run at a number of primary, infant and junior schools across the Borough of Enfield - each club is open to the children attending that specific school. However spaces are limited and the clubs are very popular.

If you need further information on the operation of any of our clubs, you can speak to the club's Senior Playworker

There are currently 6 Council run After School Clubs.
